CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Sports Facilites: Institute lays considerable emphasis on sports importance. Games play an important role in shaping the students' individual personality, fitness and keep them healthy in today's scientific era.

College has lush green 4 acre multipurpose sports ground in the campus. It possesses playfields of the following listed games and athletic events :-

  1. Hockey
  2. Football
  3. Cricket
  4. Volleyball
  5. Kho-Kho
  6. Kabbadi
  7. Badminton
  8. Table Tennis

Athletics: Every year athletic meet in March or April is organized by the College for All-round development of the Students. The following events are conducted in the college during Athletics meet for Boys and Girls. The college is having 200m Track and enough ground for conducting following athletic events:-

  2. Disc Throw
  3. Javelin Throw
  4. Shot Put
  5. High Jump
  6. Long Jump
  7. Hammer Throw

Red ribbon club: College Run two units of Red Ribbon Club. Red Ribbon Club is the subsidiary of Red Cross Society of India which Plays an important role to control AIDS/HIV, through awareness campaign for the students for various preventions. The activities proposed by Punjab Govt. Youth Services Department. are carried out by the clubs, functioning under the able and dynamic guidance of program officers.

Activities and Programs:-
  1. Extension Lectures by medical Experts on AIDS/HIV control and drud De-addiction.
  2. Seminars on AIDS/HIV control and Drug De-addiction by expert doctors.
  3. Poster Making Competition on AIDS/HIV control and Drug De- addiction Awareness.
  4. Essay Writing competition on AIDS/HIV Control
  5. Students participation in Blood donation camps.

NSS(National Service Scheme):
college runs two NSS units under progressive guidance of program officer Sh. Rajesh Bahri The NSS programe aims to produce social welfare in students and provide welfare to the society.NSS volunteers work together to ensure that everyone lead a life of dignity. One day NSS camps are organized by the college. The following activities are done by the students in one day camps:

  1. Tree plantation
  2. Awareness camp on Drug De-addiction
  3. Cleanliness in college campus

Cultural Activities: Talent search function is held after in Odd semester in September / October. The students showing good performance are sent for participation in Interpolytechnic Youth Festival held in October/November. Prize distribution function is held at the end of academic session in April, in which students showing merit in academics, cultural activities and sports are given prizes.
